Upwind, a cloud and AI security company, has raised $400 million in a Series C round at a $3.8 billion valuation. Bessemer Venture Partners led the round, according to Reuters and SecurityWeek, which reported the announcement on 28 October 2026.

The round comes about nine months after Upwind's previous $250 million round, TechCrunch reports. Existing investors including Greylock and Craft took part. TechCrunch and Globes name Amiram Shachar as the company's founder.

Reports around the deal also mention acquisition interest. TechCrunch and Globes both report that Datadog approached Upwind about a purchase and that Upwind stayed independent. The two reports differ on the terms, and the company has not confirmed them, so we do not give a figure. Treat the Datadog detail as reported, not announced.

What is confirmed is the announcement itself: the amount, the round, the lead investor and the valuation. Other numbers in circulation, such as total funds raised and earlier valuations, vary between outlets, and we have left them out.
