India's women's health ecosystem is evolving beyond hygiene products toward holistic wellness solutions. Avni Wellness has secured ₹4 crore in seed funding to strengthen its digital presence, expand its product portfolio, and scale its women-led distribution network across the country.
The Story
Founded in 2021 by Sujata Pawar and Apurv Agarwal, Avni Wellness is building a science-backed women's healthcare brand focused on menstrual hygiene, hormonal wellness, cycle nutrition, and preventive healthcare.
The startup has raised ₹4 crore in a Seed funding round led by Proteus Partners, with participation from Puru Gupta, Sreejith Moolayil, Dr. A. Velumani, and Somya Nigam.
The fresh capital will be used to:
- Expand digital commerce and D2C channels
- Grow its cycle nutrition portfolio
- Increase marketplace presence
- Build a network of 10,000 women micro-entrepreneurs across India
- Strengthen long-term women's healthcare solutions
Today, nearly 75% of Avni Wellness' revenue comes from digital channels, reflecting strong consumer adoption of science-backed women's wellness products. Its portfolio includes reusable antimicrobial sanitary pads, PCOS care, liposomal iron supplements, hormonal nutrition, UTI care, calcium supplements, and preventive wellness solutions.
