Infisical, a San Francisco security startup, has raised $40 million in a Series B round at a $600 million valuation. Elad Gil led the round, with Gradient and Y Combinator also backing the company, according to Forbes and SecurityWeek. The company announced the round on 27 October 2026.

Infisical sells tools for managing secrets such as passwords, API keys and encryption keys. SecurityWeek reports that more than 1,300 organisations use its products, including Airbus and Volkswagen. Forbes puts the company's founding at 2023.

The pitch is about AI agents. Forbes describes the approach this way: an agent is given a placeholder key, and a proxy swaps in the real credential, so the agent never sees it. SecurityWeek adds that Infisical will spend the money on product development, hiring in engineering and go-to-market, and building out its AI agent security features.

Elad Gil, who also backed Infisical's Series A, told Forbes that agents need the right permissions but not too much access. These are the views of the company and its investor, not independent test results.
