Bites, the AI-native frontline performance enablement platform, has raised a $40 million Series A led by PeakSpan Capital, the company announced on 29 October 2026. Existing investors Vertex Ventures, Horizon Capital, Rittenhouse Ventures and Lyra Ventures also joined the round, which takes Bites' total funding to $55 million. PeakSpan's Phil Dur and Charlie Reinkemeyer will join the board.
Bites targets the deskless workforce, an estimated 2.8 billion people and roughly 80% of workers globally, who rarely sit at a computer. Course-based training built around LMS logins often never reaches them, and for sales and operations leaders that gap has a commercial cost: a product launch, promotion or new procedure only pays off if frontline teams actually act on it.
The platform delivers 90-second video lessons, called Bites, through WhatsApp, SMS, Microsoft Teams, Slack or a simple link, with no app to install and no login required. Each lesson pairs a short video with a question, a summary and a discussion, and an Ask-AI assistant answers employee questions using only approved company content. Managers get visibility into whether a rollout reached their teams.
Customers include Unilever, Coca-Cola, Shake Shack, Wynn Resorts, The Venetian and Compass Group, spanning hospitality, quick-service restaurants, retail, consumer goods and manufacturing. Bites says customers typically reach more than 90% engagement within three weeks and reports 161% net revenue retention. The company was founded in 2020 by Eran Heffetz, Tal Nagler Almog and Hagai Horovitz and is headquartered in New York and Tel Aviv.
Bites says the new capital will fund its U.S. expansion and further platform development.
Business Insight: frontline enablement is becoming a budget line of its own as enterprises realise that launches and promotions fail at the last mile, not in the boardroom. Message-delivered microlearning removes the adoption friction that killed LMS rollouts for deskless teams, and engagement above 90% suggests the channel matters more than the content library.
