Rozana Raises ₹290 Crore to Strengthen Rural Commerce Across India

Indian rural commerce startup Rozana has secured ₹290 crore in Series B funding, marking another significant investment in technology-enabled retail serving Bharat. The round was led by Bertelsmann India Investments, with participation from Fireside Ventures, Spark Growth Ventures, Bikaji Family Office, FE Securities, and several other investors.

Founded in 2021, Rozana has built an omnichannel retail ecosystem that combines neighborhood stores, technology, and its own distribution network to serve rural communities.

Today, the company reaches more than 1 million households across 21,000 villages in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.

How the Funding Will Be Used

The newly raised capital will support:

  • Expansion into additional northern states
  • Technology platform enhancements
  • Growth of retail storefronts
  • Development of private-label products
  • Stronger partnerships with consumer brands

These initiatives are expected to strengthen Rozana's presence in one of India's fastest-growing consumer markets.

Why It Matters

While urban commerce has matured rapidly, rural India remains a massive untapped opportunity. Rozana's hybrid model demonstrates how technology and local retail networks can improve product accessibility and affordability for millions of consumers.

Growing investor confidence reflects the long-term potential of digital commerce beyond metropolitan cities.
